About Emphysema

Emphysema is categorized as a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and is a progressive lung disease typically associated with smoking or chronic bronchitis. Tissue that is vital to the structure and function of the lungs is destroyed, and the lungs are unable to retain their shape upon exhalation. A collapsed lung traps air within itself and inhibits proper air flow. The damage emphysema causes to the lungs is irreversible.

its fristrating annoying but it helps clear the rubbish off your chest, don't try to stop yourself with cough medicines and the like, try to clear your lungs with different breathing exercises and lying in different positions... if it feels uncomfortable on your breathing its probablly the best position to lie in as its moving the rubbish around... just get it off your chest you will feel better for it5/17/2011 at 06:48 AM

due to lack of excersise your muscles waste away so its a spiraling effect.. loss of breath leads to loss of fitness because you do less. its very important you do as much exercise as possible to keep your strength up.. its far easier to keep it than trying to get it back later5/17/2011 at 06:45 AM
