Cerebrovascular disease is a condition in which blood flow to the brain is restricted, and can include health problems such as stroke, aneurysm, stenosis in the brain, and other abnormalities of the blood vessels in the brain. Late effects of cerebrovascular disease can include problems with cognitive function, such as remembering, thinking, concentrating, and solving problems. Other late effects of cerebrovascular disease can include trouble speaking and communicating, paralysis on one side or one area of the body, trouble swallowing, problems with muscle control, and weakness of the muscles.
