About Polycythemia Vera

Polycythemia Vera, or primary polycythemia, is a blood clotting disorder caused by an overproduction of red blood cells, causing the mass of red blood cells to increase, or the volume of plasma in the blood to decrease. Polycythemia occurs as a result of abnormal bone marrow processes.
