Ultracet

Ultracet is a brand name drug used to treat moderate to severe chronic pain. Ultracet, also known by the generic name tramadol and the brand name Ultram, is an opiate agonist drug which alters the way that the body interprets pain. Ultracet contains both tramadol HCL and acetaminophen. Ultracet works similarly to narcotic pain relieving medications. Ultracet is available in an extended release form to provide longer pain relief. Ultracet may be prescribed to manage the chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other conditions. Ultracet may cause seizures in some people, along with a number of other side effects. Ultracet may be habit-forming and may cause withdrawal symptoms if the medication is suddenly stopped.
