My INR numbers got to a good level within 7 days of treatment. Began with Lovanox injection while in the hospital, and now am on 4 mg. daily of warfarin. No bleeding gums or excessive bleeding with cuts, etc. Very pleased.6/20/2013 at 08:32 PM

Coumadin is prescribed for me because I had a stroke due to a PH caused PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale, hole in the heart, which cannot be closed with surgery because it helps equalize my pressures.) It helps me be less afraid of another stroke. 5/11/2011 at 09:56 PM
